Mark McIntosh
Mark is a Board member of the Richard Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Caribbean (He played an instrumental role in their launch in Jamaica and has served on the board for 7 years including as Deputy Chairman).
Mark is the Director of Development for privately owned family investment company. He oversees/has overseen M&A, financing and operations for several of its businesses including design, development and operation of a 5-star hotel, and overseeing the operations of a large coffee business where he developed customers such as Harrods and Starbucks Reserve.
Mark was also an Operating Partner of Portland Private Equity, a private equity fund manager, whose (US$400m) funds are invested throughout the Caribbean and Central America across several sectors including Energy, Financial Services, and Tourism.
He is also the Chairman of the pension fund (US$300M under management) of the National Commercial Bank (One of the Largest Financial Service companies in the Caribbean), a director of CVM Television (Second Largest TV Station in Jamaica), a director of the National Museum of Jamaica, and a former director of the Advantage General Insurance Company. He is also an Angel Investor and a mentor to startups in the region.
Mark has served multiple terms as Board Member of National Museums Jamaica and also served as a Board Member of the Jamaica National Heritage Trust.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honors from Harvard College where he was a DJ and the head of the Hip Hop and Reggae music departments. He also holds a law degree from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Florida Bar.
